Acinonyx (cheetah) is a genus of felines. It includes one living species, the slender cheetah, and four fossil species, Acinonyx pardinensis, Acinonyx aicha, Acinonyx intermedius, and Acinonyx kurteni.
Sight 2: gorillas
The western lowland gorilla is one of two Critically Endangered subspecies of the western gorilla that lives in montane, primary and secondary forest and lowland swampland in central Africa in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. It is the nominate subspecies of the western gorilla, and the smallest of the four gorilla subspecies.
Sight 3: ibises
Ibis is the Czech name for all 12 genera of birds of the subfamily ibis, belonging to the ibis family, which is classified into the order Waders and Pelicans. The second, sister subfamily is spoonbills.
Sight 4: tapirs
Tapirus is a genus of tapir which contains the living tapir species. The Malayan tapir is usually included in Tapirus as well, although some authorities have moved it into its own genus, Acrocodia.
Sight 5: red pandas
The red panda, also known as the lesser panda, is a small mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has dense reddish-brown fur with a black belly and legs, white-lined ears, a mostly white muzzle and a ringed tail. Its head-to-body length is 51–63.5 cm (20.1–25.0 in) with a 28–48.5 cm (11.0–19.1 in) tail, and it weighs between 3.2 and 15 kg. It is well adapted to climbing due to its flexible joints and curved semi-retractile claws.
Sight 6: Troja
Troja Palace is a Baroque palace located in Troja, Prague's north-west borough. It was built for the Counts of Sternberg from 1679 to 1691. The palace is owned by the city of Prague and hosts the 19th century Czech art collections of the City Gallery.
Sight 7: svatá Klára
The Chapel of St. Clare in Troja is a Baroque chapel from the end of the 17th century. It stands on the top of a vineyard above the Troja Chateau in Prague 7-Troja. Today it is located in the area of the Prague Botanical Garden.
