The art building was chosen by a jury of representatives of Prague 6 and experts. The bench, created as a tribute to Václav Havel, was ceremonially unveiled on 18 December 2017, exactly six years after his death. The location of the bench Ferdinand Vaněk in Prague 6 was motivated by Václav Havel at the end of his life in this city district and is her honorary citizen.
