Imperial Sugar Factory Taichung Business Office, for the Taichung factory established by Imperial Sugar Co., Ltd. in 1912, after the war became Taiwan Sugar Company Taichung Sugar Factory, closed in November 1990 and successively demolished the sugar factory and most of the buildings in the original factory area, now only the original Taichung Business Office office building. In 2013, it officially entered the land development project, and the total area of the sugar factory section was about 22 hectares, of which the ecological pool and the surrounding area of the plant were planned as 6.09 hectares of park), and the developable area was about 15.32 hectares, of which 8.88 hectares were classified as commercial areas, and Taiwan Sugar obtained 7.7 hectares, and the land development was completed in March 2016. At the end of 2019, the restoration of the building was completed, and it was renamed the Taichung Business Office of the Imperial Sugar Factory, which was opened together with part of the park (Taichung Imperial Sugar Factory Lakeside Park).
Sight 2: Former Taichung Station
The old Taichung Station is a station building used by the Taichung Railway Station from May 15, 1905 to October 15, 2016 before the Taichung Railway was elevated and opened to traffic. The old front station body is the second-generation Taichung Station rebuilt on March 31, 1917, and the old building (the second-generation station body), the front porch and the first platform were registered as second-class monuments (now national monuments) in 1995, and the second platform and the first-generation parking lot office were registered into the national monuments in August 2021; The old station was originally built in 1964 and is a historical building in Taichung City. In the future, the front and rear stations, the surrounding Taiwan Railway cultural assets and the 1.6-kilometer original railway barge will be preserved in situ, and the Taichung Station Railway Cultural Park will be established in combination with the surrounding related cultural assets.

The Datun County Office is an official building in charge of Datun County, Taichung Prefecture during the Japanese Occupation of Taiwan, located in the West District of Taichung City (behind the Taichung Prefecture Hall). After the war, it was used by the military police and the military village, and the interior was rebuilt several times, and a fire in 1980 caused partial damage to the building, while the residents moved out in 2002, and restoration works began in 2017. It was originally planned to be used as a modern art museum together with the surrounding buildings after restoration, but the plan to use it after Lu Xiuyan took office has not been decided.
