Individual Sights in ViveiroSight 1: Igrexa do Convento de San Francisco
The church of the Convent of San Francisco is the Catholic temple of the parish of Santiago de Viveiro. It is an erixid construction in the XIV, with a single nave.
Sight 2: Porta de Carlos V
The Gate of Charles V, also called Porta Mayor or Porta do Castelo da Ponte, is one of the three doors that are preserved from the old mural of the village of Viveiro, in the province of Lugo, built in 1548 by the work of Pedro Pedroso. It was carried out in homage to Charles V, replacing an earlier one from the thirteenth century, which due to the erosive action of the mareas and the historical avatars had been deteriorating.
Sight 3: Igrexa de Santa María do Campo
The church of Santa María do Campo is a religious temple located in Viveiro, in the province of Lugo. It is located in the highest part of the historic center, next to the Convent of the Conceptionists.
Sight 4: Porta do Valado
A Porta do Valado is one of the three gates that remain in pepa, with a total of five that were part of the old walled enclosure of the town of Viveiro. This building is considered since 1949 as Ben of Cultural Interest within the catalog of monuments of the historical heritage of Spain.
Sight 5: Porta da Vila
The Porta da Vila or Porta do Cristo do Amparo is one of the three doors currently standing in the old muralla of the village of Viveiro, in the province of Lugo. It dates back to the thirteenth century and is the main entrance to the city through the ancient Roman limestone.
