It is located in the main square of the town and, although the main part is characteristic of the late Gothic, the construction is complex, spanning styles from the early sixteenth century to the eighteenth century, and even later modifications, many of them due to maintenance and repair needs.

The Royal Palace of the Catholic Monarchs or Royal Testamentary Palace, of Medina del Campo is a palace originally built in the 14th century, although it was enlarged several times. It was in the Mudejar style, but very little of the original building is preserved. The current building is a didactic recreation that houses the interpretation centre of the historical character of Queen Isabella the Catholic.
