The "Hostería del Estudiante" founded in 1929 on the site of the old Colegio Menor de San Jerónimo or Trilingual. And the new building, officially inaugurated on July 23, 2009, occupies three plots of the original plans of the sixteenth century. On plot no. 14, there was the Colegio de Mercedarios Calzados, in the area of the current carved garden. The alley of El Pozo separated him from the Colegio de San Basilio. On plot 15 was the Colegio de Caballeros Manriques and corresponds approximately to the entrance and lobby of the parador. On plot 16, the Dominican College of St. Thomas Aquinas was founded.

The school-convent of San Basilio Magno de Alcalá de Henares is baroque style. He got up in 1660 as a minor school at the University of Alcalá, is currently a University Cultural Center. It is a good of cultural interest of Spanish heritage with the RI-53-0000095 code.
