Laugaricio or Leugaricio or Leukaristos is the ancient name of a settlement from the 2nd century AD in the territory of today's Trenčín or from its immediate vicinity, which was an important political and economic center and strategic point in the Barbaric period above the middle Danube. In 179, 855 soldiers of the Second Auxiliary Roman Legion wintered here.

The City Gate in Trenčín is a six-storey, originally only two-storey Gothic-Renaissance tower of the city gate, which was built on square foundations probably at the beginning of the 15th century.

Sight 6: Trenčianske múzeum
The Trenčín Museum is a cultural and scientific institution with regional competence and more than 140 years of history. Its predecessor was the Natural Science Association of Trenčín County, founded in 1877. By merging with the Museum Society in 1912, the Trenčín Museum was established. The first chairman was Dr. Karol Brančík, a county physician and entomologist of international importance.
