The Schreiberhaus is a former residential building in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. It was built around the year 1430 and is therefore considered the oldest town house in Neumarkt. St. John's Cathedral is a Gothic hall church and the most important and largest church in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. As a Catholic church, it belongs to the deanery of Neumarkt and thus to the diocese of Eichstätt. The church is dedicated to John the Baptist and celebrates its patron saint on 24 June. The 72-metre-high tower dominates the silhouette of the old town. On 24 June 2015, St. John was elevated to the rank of a cathedral.
