Individual Sights in NördlingenSight 1: St. Josef
St. Josef is a Catholic parish church in Nördlingen, Germany. It is named after St. Josef, the worker, is located outside the completely preserved city wall ring and includes the building area in the southeast of the city of Nördlingen, the "Wemdinger Viertel", which grew in the post-war period.
Sight 2: Stadtmauermuseum
The city wall museum in Nördlingen documents the history of Nördlingen's city fortifications. It was opened in 1987 in the tower of the Löpsinger Tor, built in 1593/94.
Sight 3: Kriegerbrunnen
The Kriegerbrunnen is an Art Nouveau building in the Bavarian town of Nördlingen. It was created in 1902 by the Munich sculptor Georg Wrba and inaugurated on September 7 of the same year. It is located on the Rübenmarkt, in the immediate vicinity of St. George's Church.
Sight 4: St. Georg
St. Georg is the Evangelical Lutheran parish church in the middle of the town of Nördlingen. The late Gothic church, built between 1427 and 1505, with its tower, the Daniel, visible from afar, is the town's landmark.
Sight 5: Gerd Müller Statue
The Gerd Müller statue is a bronze statue of the German footballer Gerd Müller created by the sculptor Herbert Deiss. The statue is located in Müller's birthplace Nördlingen.
Sight 6: Stadtmuseum
The Nördlingen City Museum provides an insight into the history of the former Free Imperial City of Nördlingen. The collection, founded in 1867, is housed on four floors in the hospital building of the former Heilig-Geist-Spital.
Sight 7: Rieskratermuseum
The Rieskrater Museum, sometimes known in English as the Ries Crater Museum, focuses on meteors and their collisions with Earth. The museum is housed in a 16th-century barn in Nördlingen, Germany which was part of the medieval city's center.
