2. St. Michael

St. Michael is a Catholic church in the Holheim district of Nördling. It dominates the villagescape, stands on a rocky spur, is Romanesque in the nave and early Gothic in the choir and choir tower. It was the centre of an extensive, multi-towered defence system of the old royal estates in the Ries, which stretched over a wide area.
