The monastery church of St. Annen was the church of the Kamenz Franciscan convent. After the dissolution of the monastery, it was used for the Protestant worship of the Sorbian inhabitants. Since August 2011, the room has been used for church purposes, concerts and events as well as for the presentation of sacred works of art from the churches of Kamenz under the name of the Monastery Church and Sacral Museum of St. Anne. A restrained, new extension is used by the tourist information. In 2014, the "exemplary cooperation between the parish and the municipality", the "striking combination of old and new architectural language" and the "rich, at the same time nobly restrained presentation of several winged altars and precious furnishings" were honoured with the 1st prize of the Foundation for the Preservation of Ecclesiastical Monuments in Germany.
