Schloss Ritzebüttel in Cuxhaven was the residence of the Hamburg bailiffs during the time when Ritzebüttel belonged to Hamburg. The castle, some of which dates back to the 14th century, is one of the oldest surviving secular buildings of North German Brick Gothic in the region and is now open to visitors.

Sight 3: Hamburger Leuchtturm
The Hamburg Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Cuxhaven, Germany, which was built between 1802 and 1804 by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, to which the area belonged at the time. The lighthouse on the Alte Liebe is one of the city's landmarks and was in operation until 2001. It is a listed building in Lower Saxony and is included in the list of monuments in Cuxhaven.

The wind semaphor on the old love in Cuxhaven is a facility for the optical transmission of weather information to ships that drive from the mouth of the Elbe towards the North Sea. It indicates wind speed and direction on the islands of Borkum and Helgoland with hands and signal arms.

The Alte Liebe is a former pier in the port of Cuxhaven, which now serves as a viewing platform. It is located on the upstream boundary of the port of Cuxhaven to the fairway of the Lower Elbe. The ships to Neuwerk and Helgoland as well as to the sandbanks with the seals depart into the harbour near the platform.
