The 16th-century Lindwurmbrunnen fountain on Neuer Platz in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee represents the landmark and its heraldic animal, a lindworm.
Sight 3: Marienkirche
The Roman Catholic St. Mary's Church in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee on Benediktinerplatz was consecrated in 1624 and belongs to the Franciscan monastery built at the same time, which was later looked after by the Benedictines. After them, the adjacent square is called Benediktinerplatz, the church formerly Benediktinerkirche.
