Get Ticket*The Telangana High Court is the High Court for the Indian state of Telangana. Founded by the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan, initially, it was set up as High Court of Hyderabad for the then princely state of Hyderabad Deccan and later renamed High Court of Andhra Pradesh, as it was set up on 5 November 1956 under the States Reorganisation Act, 1956. The Andhra Pradesh High Court was renamed as High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad in view of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state.
2. Charminar
The Charminar is a monument located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Constructed in 1591, the landmark is a symbol of Hyderabad and officially incorporated in the emblem of Telangana. The Charminar's long history includes the existence of a mosque on its top floor for more than 425 years. While both historically and religiously significant, it is also known for its popular and busy local markets surrounding the structure, and has become one of the most frequented tourist attractions in Hyderabad. Charminar is also a site of numerous festival celebrations, such as Eid-ul-adha and Eid al-Fitr, as it is adjacent to the city's main mosque, the Makkah Masjid.
3. The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU)
The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) is a central university for English and foreign languages located in Hyderabad, India. It is the only such university dedicated to languages in South Asia.
4. Bhagyalaxmi Temple
Bhagyalakshmi temple is a shrine dedicated to a Hindu goddess located in Hyderabad, India. This temple is located adjacent to the city's historic monument Charminar. Charminar is under care of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), while a Hindu trust manages the temple dedicated to the Goddess Bhagyalakshmi. The origin of the temple is currently disputed and the current structure that houses the idol was erected in the 1960s. In 2012, Telangana High Court stopped any further expansion of the temple. In 2013, ASI declared the temple structure as an unauthorised construction.
5. B M Birla Science Museum
B. M. Birla Science Museum is an Indian science museum located in Hyderabad, India. Constructed by civil engineer P. A. Singaravelu, it comprises a planetarium, museum, science centre, art gallery as well as a dinosaurium. The museum itself was the second phase of the science centre when it opened in 1990. The centre also houses India's first private Space Museum. The museum is a unique facility which is dedicated to history of the space program of India. The space museum was inaugurated in July 2019 and was curated by Pranav Sharma.
6. Chanchalguda Central Jail
Chanchalguda Central Jail, located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, is one of the oldest jails in the country. The jail is in the old city of Hyderabad at Chanchalguda. It was constructed during the reign of the Nizam of the Hyderabad State, and remains operational today.
7. Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption
Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption is a minor basilica located in Secunderabad, India. The decree designating it as a basilica was issued on 7 November 2008. The church is located on Sarojini Naidu Road in Secunderabad. It owes its early history to Father Daniel Murphy along with Bishop Carew. St. Mary's Church was completed in 1850. This church was formerly called the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Hyderabad. In 1886, it ceased to be a cathedral. In 1871, a few nuns from St. Anne at Turin came here and opened a school that is popular as St. Ann's school.
