La Casa Fuerte has been a National Historic Monument of Venezuela since 1960. It is located in the city of Barcelona, capital of the State of Anzoátegui. Originally established as the Convent of San Francisco, it was the center of the Missions of Friars Minor Recollects, from where friars would go out to spread the gospel to the plains of southern Venezuela. In 1811 it was taken by the founders of the Republic of Venezuela and in 1817 it was converted into a fort by Simón Bolívar for the defense of the city from royalist attacks.

The Juan Manuel Cajigal Theater, also called the Cajigal Theater, is a historic building conditioned for theatrical activities dating back to the nineteenth century, built in the Neoclassical style. It is located in the Simón Bolívar Municipality in front of Plaza Rolando, in the city of Barcelona, the capital of the state of Anzoátegui in the northeast of the South American country of Venezuela.

The Anzoátegui Museum is a museum founded in 1969, located in a colonial house, composed of rooms and a central courtyard, in the Plaza Boyacá of the city of Barcelona, the capital of the State of Anzoátegui in northeastern Venezuela. It is a public museum with a historical, ethnographic and artistic vocation, in which pre-Columbian pieces, paintings, ceramics and weapons used during the colonial era and the war of independence are exhibited. Barcelona's luminous fountain, known as the Luminous Fountain, is an obelisk located in the center of the city of Barcelona. Inaugurated in 1954, it is a dome that connects 4 main roads of the city: Pedro María Freites, 5 de Julio, J.H Paparoni avenues and Rolando, Nueva and Las Flores streets, during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s it stood out for the water and light show that characterized it in those years, in 1990 it was declared a State Monument.
