Individual Sights in KharkivSight 1: Yaroslav the Wise
Yaroslav I Vladimirovich, better known as Yaroslav the Wise, was Grand Prince of Kiev from 1019 until his death in 1054. He was also earlier Prince of Novgorod from 1010 to 1034 and Prince of Rostov from 987 to 1010, uniting the principalities for a time. Yaroslav's baptismal name was George after Saint George.

The Monument to the Founders of Kharkov is a monumental building to the founders of Kharkov, presented by the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov on the occasion of the City Day. It was erected on August 22, 2004 to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the founding of the city. It is located at the beginning of Nauky Avenue at the corner with Independence Avenue. The monument was made by the famous Moscow sculptor Zurab Tsereteli. The opening of the monument was attended by the mayor of Kharkov Vladimir Shumilkin, the head of the Kharkiv regional state administration Yevgeny Kushnarev.

The Vasyl Karazin Monument in Kharkiv is a monument to Vasyl Karazin, an outstanding Ukrainian scientist and educator, inventor, public figure, founder of the first university in eastern Ukraine (1805) in Kharkiv.
Sight 6: Studbativtsiam
Monument to the students of the student battalion, officially the Monument to KSU students - volunteers of the student battalion - is a sculpture in the center of Kharkov on Freedom Square, dedicated to the feat of students of Gorky Kharkiv University, who signed up at the very beginning of the Soviet-German war as volunteers in the army and went to the front in July 1941. The vast majority of students died in the battles in the area of Bila Tserkva and during the defense of Moscow in the fall of 1941.
