In 1943, Zeynep Güzide Belerman had her wooden house demolished and the Feneryolu Mosque built in memory of her husband Recai Bey and her son Yahya, who died at a young age. It was completed in 1945 and opened for worship in 1946 and was called Recai Yahya Mosque. The mosque, which was designed by Vasfi Egeli, who was the Chief Architect of Istanbul Foundations, was also supported by philanthropists. The mosque is located opposite Feneryolu Train Station.
