The church of Santa Maria is a work of the municipality of Cornellà de Llobregat included in the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. This parish church is located in the Church Square. The church is in the same place where an agricultural estate was located in the second century, where a paleo -Christian church was built in the 6th century, and in the eighteenth century a church, destroyed in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. The reconstruction began in 1940, when the first stone was placed, which was blessed in 1948. The main material with which the church was built was with brick. The current building consists of a single nave with a transept, a polygonal apse with chapels on the sides. The bell tower is octagonal at the top, as it begins with a square plant. The facade is formed by a rose window with stained glass, surrounded by two towers on the sides, with a square floor plan, with elongated windows, as in the bell tower.
