The Torre de Fornells is one of the many defence towers that surround the coast of Menorca. The one in Fornells was built between 1801 and 1802, in the last period of British domination, with the aim of guarding the entrance to the port of Fornells, preventing the landing of enemy ships and protecting the Castle of San Antonio.
