The State Grand Central Hall named after Salikh Saidashev was built in 1967 according to the project of architects M. Kh. Agishev, E. I. Prokofiev, V. P. Loginov. The two-storey building on Freedom Square consists of the Large, Small and rehearsal halls and other rooms. In June 1996, the building underwent a radical reconstruction. In 1997, a large organ of the Dutch company "Flentrop" was installed. On the initiative of public and cultural organizations, in 2000 it was decided to rename, perpetuate the memory of Salikh Saidashev and assign the GBKZ his name.
