Throughout its long and tragic history, the building stayed mostly intact, making it one of the oldest and most precious sacral monuments in Poland.

Sight 7: Kościół pw. św. Michała Archanioła
Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Gniezno – founded in the 13th, present church from the beginning of the 15th century, restored after 1613, rebuilt in the years 1811–1815, neo-baroque tower from 1900, according to Knothe's design, Gothic, three-nave, hall in the body. The church, together with the now non-existent two churches of St. Nicholas and the Holy Spirit, belonged to the former suburb of Wójtostwo.

The Church of St. John the Baptist is a monument in Gniezno, Poland. It was the headquarters of Order of the Holy Sepulchre for centuries. Its presbytery houses the original 14th-century polychromy made with fresco-secco technique.
