Sight 12: Filharmonia Częstochowska im. Bronisława Hubermana
Częstochowa Philharmonic Bronisława Huberman is located in Częstochowa, in a building at ul. Wilson 16, erected in 1955–1965 on the foundations of the new synagogue, burned on December 25, 1939. The designer of the building is Józef Tadeusz Gawłowski. The Philharmonic has two concert halls and a rehearsal room. The concert hall houses 825 viewers, the second room - chamber - 156. The main hall was recognized by some experts as the fourth in terms of acoustic properties in Poland. Witold Straszewicz is the author of the acoustics project of both concert halls.
