Three, and on the foundations of an old Christian basilica. In the courtyard of the church there are several specimens of marble decorative plastic: a meno with a base, a fragment of railing plate, a captain, etc. Probably from here comes the votive plate dedicated to Asclepius. There is a possibility that a sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius could be housed here, why there is a source in the immediate vicinity that is now considered medicinal. The findings are located in the lapidarium of Heracles.

In the early Christian period, Heraclea was an important Episcopal seat and a waypoint on the Via Egnatia that once linked Byzantium with Rome through the Adriatic seaport of Dyrrachium. Sight 5: Fortress of Bitola

Show sight on map

The Bitola Fortress is a monument to first-category culture in Macedonia. It was built in 1876 in the form of a cross with four unique buildings built into a piece of stone. The building is located in the Bitola Barracks. The building, which is the top architectural achievement of the Smilevmasters, who, although on the orders of the valley, built it in the form of a cross, is a place for cultural events and a tourist attraction. In the past, Jepaneta rarely visited him since he was a weapons warehouse at the time of the JNA and kept as a military secret, protected by guards, barbed wires and misled steel gates, but today with the closure of the barracks and giving the municipality possession, the facility is open to visits and for larger investments.
