The Kneppelhout-van Braam Memorial Column is a 19th-century monument in Oosterbeek, the Netherlands.
Sight 2: Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein'
The Airborne Museum ‘Hartenstein’ in Oosterbeek, The Netherlands is dedicated to the Battle of Arnhem in which the Allied Forces attempted to form a bridgehead on the northern banks of the Rhine river in September 1944. Hartenstein served as the headquarters of the British 1st Airborne Division. In the museum an extensive and diverse collection is displayed consisting of original weaponry, genuine uniforms and equipment used in the battle. The numerous photos and films on display provide a realistic picture which is enhanced by interviews with Allied soldiers. In addition the museum has an award-winning Airborne Experience exhibition, that depicts the area around Arnhem and Oosterbeek during the battle. The museum also provides German and civilian perspectives.
Sight 3: Soldaat met bloemenmeisje
Soldier with Flower Girl is a war memorial on the corner of Hartensteinlaan and Utrechtseweg in the Dutch town of Oosterbeek, in the immediate vicinity of the Airborne monument.
Sight 4: Bernulphuskerk
St. Bernulph's Church is a neo-Gothic hall church. The building is located at Utrechtseweg no. 129 in Oosterbeek. After the renovation of 1922-'23, it had a three-sided closed choir and several side chapels. On the square in front of the church is a statue of the Sacred Heart. The tower, after being partly destroyed during the war, was no longer erected in its entirety and is of the same height as the nave.
Sight 5: Bato's Wijk
Bato's Wijk is a park in the Dutch village of Oosterbeek. The park was created after the Second World War from a former estate. It is located between the Toulon van der Koogweg, the Fangmanweg and the Geelkerkenkamp.
