The Oosterpoort is the only remaining city gate of the North Holland city of Hoorn. The gate is located on the edge of the city center, on the Draafsingel. The Oosterpoort Bridge runs under the gate to give pedestrians and cyclists access to the city.

The Foreestenhuis is a national monument on the Grote Oost in the Dutch city of Hoorn. The patrician house consists of three merged buildings with a new façade in front of them. The façade was built in 1724 in the Louis XIV style. The client for the installation of the façade was Mr. Nanning van Foreest, he was the richest man in the city, was mayor and also director of the West India Company.

The domed church of the Dutch city of Hoorn is a three-aisled cruciform basilica with galleries and a dome above the crossing. The building completely fills the land that was available, so the façade has run away from the rest of the church. The domed church was built by the Hoorn architect A.C. Bleijs, on the spot where De Drie Tulpen used to stand. The opening took place in 1882. In 1993 the church was restored. The church is dedicated to Saints Francis of Assisi and Cyriacus. The building and the faith community have been part of the Roman Catholic parish of Saint Matthew since January 2013.
