Sight 1: 存明寺

Zonmyoji is a temple located in Kitakusuyama 4-chome, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. It belongs to the Honganji branch of the Jodo Shinshu sect, with its head temple being Higashi Honganji, and its official name is "Sakuradazan Zonmyoji." It was founded in 1647 (Shōhō 4) and its original location was in Sakurada, Toshima District, Musashi Province (near the current Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department). It later moved to Shiba Kanesugi and then to Azabu Fujimicho in 1898 (Meiji 31) (near the current Tengenji Bridge). After being affected by the Great Kanto Earthquake, it relocated to its current site in Karasuyama in 1927 (Shōwa 2). The temple actively engages in various issues such as supporting areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, grief care, and the "Zonmyoji Children's Cafeteria," continuing to walk alongside the local community.

Senkoji Temple is a temple located in Kitakarasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. It is a single temple of the Jodo sect, and its founding dates back to 1604 (Keicho 9) in the early Edo period. It was originally located in Shinagawa, but later moved to Bakurocho, and was relocated again to Asakusa Shinjimachi due to the great fire that occurred in 1657 (3rd year of the Meiji calendar). After that, the main hall and the back of the storehouse were burned down by the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 (Taisho 12), and in 1927 (Showa 2), it was moved to its current location, Karasuyama. Senkoji Temple is one of the 26 temples that make up the town of Karasuyamaji. There is a tomb of Kitagawa Utamaro, a ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period, and it is also known as "Utamaro-ji". Utamaro's grave was designated as a former site of Tokyo in 1956 (Showa 31).
