Shimonoseki City Modern Hyundai Modern Honor Handscopes (Shimono Sekishiri Kenzaki) is a museum located in 5-7 Tanaka-cho, Shimonoseki-shi, Yamaguchi. Kinuyo Tanaka, an actress from Shimonoseki City, is honored, and the nickname is Tanaka Kinu Kakan.
Sight 2: 旧下関英国領事館
The former British Consulate in Shimonoseki is the oldest surviving consulate building in Japan, located in Karato-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. A two-story brick building completed in December 1906 (Meiji 39). In May 1999 (Heisei 11), it was designated as an important cultural property of the country.

Kameyama Hachimangū is a Shinto shrine located in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is a Hachiman shrine, dedicated to the kami Hachiman. The kami enshrined there include Emperor Ōjin, Empress Jingū, and Emperor Chūai. It was established in 859, and has an annual festival on October 15.

Akama Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is dedicated to the child Emperor Antoku, who died in the Battle of Dan-no-ura, which occurred nearby in 1185. This battle was important in the history of Japan because it brought an end to Genpei War in which the Minamoto clan defeated the rival Taira clan, and ended the Taira bid for control of Japan.

The Nissin Kaiwa Memorial Museum is a memorial hall located next to the Harufan Building in Amidata-ji Town, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, with the theme of the Treaty of Shimonoseki signed between China and Japan in 1895, and is managed by the Shimonoseki City Museum of History.

Mimosusogawa Park is a city park in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It faces Dannoura, the final stage of the Genpei War, and is located between National Highway No. 9 and the Kanmon Strait.
