Individual Sights in Cividale del FriuliSight 1: Ipogeo Celtico
The Celtic hypogeum of Cividale del Friuli consists of a series of underground rooms, dug into the rock. It has a development on several levels and with several branches. Scholars are still uncertain about the original function of this monument, which finds little comparison. Some favour funerary use in the Celtic age, others believe that the room may have been used in Roman or Lombard times as a prison.
Sight 2: Museo diocesano cristiano e del tesoro del duomo
The Christian Diocesan Museum and the Treasure of the Cathedral of Cividale del Friuli, set up in some rooms adjacent to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, was inaugurated in 1946 to preserve the most representative historical and artistic evidence of early medieval sculpture, especially from the Lombard period.

Sight 3: Complesso episcopale del patriarca Callisto
The episcopal complex of Patriarch Callistus was located in Cividale del Friuli (Udine) and was the main religious complex of the capital of the important Duchy of Friuli. It is part of the serial site "Longobards in Italy: the places of power", comprising seven places full of architectural, pictorial and sculptural testimonies of Lombard art, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2011.
