The Torre de la Polvorera is a defence tower located in the bastions dedicated to the explorer Antonio Pigafetta, in the city of Alghero, on the island of Sardinia. Cylindrical in shape, built in the mid-eighteenth century, during the rule of the Savoy, it was used as an arsenal for weapons and gunpowder, in defense against attacks from the sea.
