Heide Park Resort, commonly known as Heide Park, is a theme park in Soltau, Lower Saxony, Germany. With an overall area of over 850,000 m2, it is the largest amusement park in Northern Germany and among the largest in the country. It is part of the British-based Merlin Entertainments, which operates 123 attractions in 24 countries.

Colossos – Battle of the Giants, cf. ancient Greek κολοσσός kolossós, German '(huge) statue', is a wooden roller coaster at Heide Park Resort. Until 2006, it was the second fastest ride of its kind in the world at 110 km/h. The roller coaster, designed by the engineering firm Stengel and built by Intamin, was opened on April 13, 2001 after construction costs of about 45 million DM. It is 1344 m long, 53 m high and has 2 trains. Colossos was taken out of service for 3 years in 2016 due to a complete renovation of the rails, and on April 19, 2019, Colossos was reopened with new rails and a new theming.

Desert Race is a steel roller coaster manufactured by Intamin at the Heide Park Resort in Soltau, Germany. It was officially inaugurated on May 15, 2007 and was the first catapult launch roller coaster in Germany, more precisely an accelerator coaster. It uses a hydraulic drive system that accelerates the cars to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, with the roller coaster reaching a top speed of 102 km/h. The track length is 650 meters, which can be covered in 49 seconds. Braking is done on the last airtime hill and after the final bend with eddy current brakes. The maximum g-force is 4.7 g.
