Individual Sights in Rüdesheim am RheinSight 1: Boosenburg
The Boosenburg is a lowland castle in Rüdesheim am Rhein, Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis, Hesse, Germany, located in the Rhine valley and dating back to the 12th century. It is locally known as Oberburg in relation to the near and slightly lower Brömserburg. It has been part of the Rhine Gorge World Heritage Site from 2002.
Sight 2: Brömserhof
The Brömserhof is a former aristocratic residence and manor house in Oberstraße in Rüdesheim am Rhein. The complex was the ancestral seat of the Brömser von Rüdesheim family, after whom the Brömserburg is named.
Sight 3: St. Jakobus
St. Jakobus is a Catholic church and a former parish in Rüdesheim am Rhein, Hesse, Germany. It dates back to the 10th century, was expanded around 1400, and again in 1913/14. The church was severely damaged by bombing in World War II, and rebuilt from 1947 to 1956. It is a listed historic monument and serves also as a concert venue.
Sight 4: Klunkhardshof
The Klunkhardshof is one of the oldest buildings in Rüdesheim am Rhein. The large late medieval half-timbered house was built in the middle of the 15th century.
Sight 5: Vorderburg
The Vorderburg is located in the old town of Rüdesheim am Rhein on the southwestern edge of the market in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in Hesse. Since 2002, the Vorderburg has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
Sight 6: Drosselgasse
The Drosselgasse is a 2 m wide and about 144 m long, cobblestone street in Rüdesheim am Rhein, which is visited by about three million people annually.
