Individual Sights in OldenburgSight 1: Schlossgarten
The Schlossgarten Oldenburg is a 16-hectare public park in the city of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, northern Germany, located between the Eversten district and the city centre to the north. At the northwest end is a lake and Elisabeth-Anna-Palais and close to the northwest end is the Schloss Oldenburg.
Sight 2: Augusteum
The Augusteum is a German art museum in the city of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony. Completed in 1867 in Oldenburg, the Augusteum is among the first museum buildings in northern Germany. Located at Elisabethstraße 1, it hosts the ‘Old Masters Gallery’ or old master painting collection of the Oldenburg State Museum of Art and Cultural History, featuring Dutch, Italian, German, and French paintings from the 15th to 18th centuries.

The Prinzenpalais is a palace, now used as an art museum, in the city of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. The museum houses the modern art collection of the State Museum for Art and Cultural History.
Sight 4: Schloss Oldenburg
Oldenburg Castle is the former residence of the Counts, Dukes and Grand Dukes of Oldenburg on Schlossplatz in Oldenburg. The two-winged complex was built in 1607 by Count Anton Günther by Andrea Spezza in the Renaissance style. The Idyll Room, the Marble Hall and the Castle Hall are particularly noteworthy. Since 1921, it has served as the headquarters of the State Museum of Art & Culture Oldenburg.
Sight 5: Schlosswache
The Oldenburg Castle Guard is located on the Schlossplatz and thus in the immediate city centre of Oldenburg. It was built in 1839 as a guard building for the Oldenburg military to guard the castle opposite. After various functions as a police station and office building of the Oldenburg city administration, the building has been used as a bank building by the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg (LzO) since 1951 at the latest. The current address (2017) is Schlossplatz 7–8.
