The high-rise bunker ("Winkelturm") on the grounds of the WERKStadt shopping centre in Limburg is an air-raid shelter of the Winkel type, named after the designer Leo Winkel. It was built in 1941 during the Second World War to protect the employees of the Reichsbahn repair shop in Limburg from Allied air raids. To improve vibration protection, the bunker was built on a bed of iron filings.

The former cathedral cemetery and cemetery of the city of Limburg an der Lahn is located in the immediate vicinity of the Limburg Cathedral on the cathedral square.
