The Hollywood Tour was a water-themed ride in the "Fantasy" theme area of the Brühl amusement park Phantasialand. The track was opened with the start of the season on 1 April 1990. On Friday evening, March 30, 1990, an opening ceremony was held with invited guests. The first ride of the evening took place at 18:00. Afterwards, a premiere gala took place in the adjacent restaurant Petit Paris. The star guest of the evening was Marlène Charell, accompanied by the French show orchestra André Cyriel. The ride showed passengers "scenes from famous film classics". The boating system was built by Intamin AG Switzerland, the interior fittings and figures were supplied by Hofmann. The Hollywood Tour shared the building with the dark roller coaster "Crazy Bats", which is located in the upper part, and the neighboring "Fantissima" area.

Phantasialand is a theme park in Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany that attracts approximately 2 million visitors annually. It was opened in 1967 by Gottlieb Löffelhardt and Richard Schmidt. Although starting as a family-oriented park, it has added thrill rides, especially in recent years. Following the example of Europa-Park, it has also decided to attract business customers, calling spring the slogan "Business to Pleasure".
