The only vestige of the town's old castle, it was remodelled in the nineteenth century. Its tower houses a stone spiral staircase that leads to the upper floors and has been listed as a historical monument since December 28, 1926.

The Chalet des Suppliques is a small chalet built in 1864 in Vichy (Allier), at the entrance to the Vichy bridge, in the park then newly created along the Allier to serve as accommodation for the park keeper. Originally, two identical cottages were built, on either side of the road at the outlet of the bridge, but the cottage upstream was destroyed in 1931 or 1932 for the construction of a new, wider bridge. The name of the chalet comes from the legend that it was used to collect the supplications addressed to Napoleon III during his stays in the spa resort.
