Individual Sights in AutunSight 1: Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle
The Natural History Museum of Autun, installed in 1964 in a private mansion on rue Saint-Antoine, is a French museum dedicated to mineralogy, zoology, paleontology and botany. A first-class museum in 1984, it has been labelled a Musée de France since 6 January 2002.
Sight 2: Cathédrale Saint-Lazare
The Cathedral of Saint Lazarus of Autun, commonly known as Autun Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Autun and a national monument of France. Famous for its Cluniac inspiration and its Romanesque sculptures by Gislebertus, it is a highlight of Romanesque art in Burgundy. It is the seat of the Bishop of Autun. The Bishop of Autun set forth the construction of St. Lazarus Cathedral as a result of the large movement of pilgrims travelling to Vezelay as they progressed on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
Sight 3: Fontaine Saint-Lazare
The Sainte-Lazare fountain is a fountain built by Jean Goujon in 1543 located in Autun, France. It has been classified as a historical monument since the 1862 list and is located right next to the homonymous cathedral. At its top, a sculpture of a pelican disemboweling itself to feed its young represents the Eucharist.

The Ursuline Tower, formerly the Prisoners' Tower or François I Tower, is a keep erected in the twelfth century in Autun, in the French department of Saône-et-Loire. Its function was to protect the old Château Riveau or Rivault. It is the main vestige of this castle dismantled around 1600, whose name derives from the Latin rivus. This name was also borne by the former lords, and was then kept in the name of the Quartier Rivault.
