Hollihaka

Hollihaa Park is the second largest park in the centre of Oulu. The park covers about a third of the Hollihaa district in Oulu. The park is bordered on the west by the Oulujoki estuary, on the north by Sonnisaari and the old wooden town area of Kuusiluoto, on the east by the Oulu Sports Centre and Hollihaa daycare centre, and on the south by the apartment buildings along Puistokatu, the most prominent of which is the Nuottala apartment building.

Sight 3: Bobby at the Marketplace

Toripolliisi is a bronze sculpture located at the market square in Oulu, Finland. It was made by sculptor Kaarlo Mikkonen in 1987. The sculpture measures 220×150×112 centimetres, and it was named in honour of the bobbies that once patrolled the market place. The sculpture was funded with the help of a public fund raising started in 1985, and it was revealed in September 1987.

Osprey and Salmon is a fountain sculpture located in Pokkisenpuisto, Oulu. The bronze sculpture, unveiled in 1960, was designed by sculptor Oskari Jauhiainen, and it is the first actual public fountain sculpture in Oulu. The animal-themed bronze statue is placed in the middle of a circular pool, on a natural stone lifted from the rapids. The dimensions of the sculpture are 195 × 100 × 105 cm.

Sight 5: Oulu Cathedral

Oulu Cathedral is an Evangelical Lutheran cathedral and the seat of the Diocese of Oulu, located in the center of Oulu, Finland. The church was built in 1777 as a tribute to the king of Sweden Gustav III and named after his wife as Sofia Magdalena's church.
