The Hot Spring is the official name for the largest spring of thermal water in Karlovy Vary, which is also the warmest thermal spring in the Czech Republic with a temperature of 73 °C. The Hot Spring ejection in the form of the Hot Spring Fountain is located in the centre of the spa area of Karlovy Vary in the Hot Spring Colonnade, where it reaches a height of up to 12 m thanks to the pressure and content of gaseous carbon dioxide. Since May 2016, the Hot Spring Fountain has been temporarily located at the southwest entrance to the colonnade, in 2022 the fountain was moved back to its original place in the colonnade hall. In the area of the Hot Spring Colonnade, there are three drinking stands with hot spring water at its original temperature. After almost seven years of reconstruction of the Hot Spring, the temperature is no longer artificially lowered due to the fact that the hot spring water loses its original chemical composition and therefore its quality.
