Today, the ruins are one of Macau's best known landmarks and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. In 2005, they were officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Jesuit Memorial Square (Portuguese: ) is a square located in front of the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macau, connecting St. Paul's Street, St. Paul's Lane, St. Paul's Lane and St. Paul's Right Street. The square commemorates the Jesuits who came to Macau to establish St. Paul's College. At present, the plaza has become one of the venues for tourists, major tourism events, celebrations and exterior photography in Macao. The Jesuit Memorial Square is a series of wide staircases adjacent to a wide sloping street, with the Ruins of St. Paul's at its thematic centre, and the Museum of Catholic Art and the Tomb to the north.
