Goiânia Theater, inaugurated on July 14, 1942, is the most traditional cultural space of Goiânia, capital of the Brazilian state of Goiás. It integrates the architectural ensemble of the city's project. It is the art decon style of architects Jorge Félix and José do Amaral Neddermeyer. Its construction began in 1940 and was completed in 1942. The official mail on June 12, 1942 brought the information: "The inauguration of the Goiânia Theater will be marked by a super production of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, next Tuesday fair". At the entrance of the theater was the then federal intervener of the state, Pedro Ludovico Teixeira, who unveiled the sign, giving the most luxurious house of shows in the new capital of the state of Goiás. In the same week, Eva Todor, the largest Brazilian comedy company, inaugurated the stage with Ladislaw Todor's internal school. Although it was designed for film and theater functions, it was hardly used as cinema.
