Rio Branco Square is one of the main squares of Belo Horizonte, which honors José Maria da Silva Paranhos Júnior, Baron of Rio Branco. It marks the beginning of Avenida Afonso Pena and in the 1970s it was there that the city's Bus Terminal was installed, and the place became popularly known as Praça da Rodoviária.

Sight 6: Cine Theatro Brasil
The Cine Theatro Brasil, currently called Cine Theatro Brasil Vallourec, is a historic building in Belo Horizonte, built in 1932 in Praça Sete de Setembro to function as the main cinema and largest theater in the city. It is a large 11-story building whose curvilinear angled façade marks the corner of Amazonas Avenue and Carijós Street. Designed by the architect Alberto Murgel, it is one of the forerunners of reinforced concrete and features the façade in powder-of-stone, a typical finish of the art deco architectural style.

With an area of 9,000 m², the museum is housed in the historic complex of the former Central Station of the Central Railroad of Brazil, in Rui Barbosa Square, better known as Station Square and the former Belo Horizonte Station of the West of Minas Railroad. It is one of the best structured museums in Brazil in terms of organization, structure for exhibitions and use of audiovisual resources.

It was created on September 7, 1929 by the then mayor Cristiano Machado. He belonged to the City Hall of Belo Horizonte until 1964. Its warehouse occupies an entire block of the city center, with the main entrance facing Augusto de Lima Avenue.
