The Monument to Martín Miguel de Güemes is a 25 m high building in the city of Salta. It is located at the end of Paseo Güemes at the foot of Cerro San Bernardo where the general fell for the first time from his horse while riding wounded by bullets to the Cañada de la Horqueta, where he died a few days later.
