Sightseeing Tours in Palamós1. Santa Maria de Bell-lloc
Santa Maria de Bell-lloc is a chapel in the municipality of Palamós included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It is a chapel with a nave with a carred headboard, covered with a vault of 4 edged sections. Behind the altar there is a loft which is accessed by two stairs, one on each side, where the image of the Virgin is located. On the 16 edges there are painted frescoes by Francesc Viladesall (1868) and the rest of the surface is whitewashed. The façade has a door with a lintel from 1758 on which there is a rose window. The roof is on two sides with a belfry. The walls are whitewashed, except for the angles and frames of the openings which are of well-squared stone. The right side of the building extends with the hermit's dwelling, built in 1669 with a license from the bishop and renovated and extended at different times.
2. Castell de Sant Esteve de Mar
The Castell de Sant Esteve de Mar is a ruined castle perched atop a cliff in the town of Palamós, in Baix Empordà, between La Fosca and the Cala s'Alguer. Only the bases of some towers and some walls remain, and is currently surrounded by a fence that prevents access to visitors. It is accessed from the path leading from the beach of Fosca to S'Alguer that forms part of the GR 92 long distance footpath.
3. Teatre La Gorga
The La Gorga Theater is a centennial building located in the town of Palamós with 322 seats spread over 242 seats on the ground floor and 80 in the amphitheater. It programmes, on a regular basis, the performing arts and music of the municipality, both professionally and amateurly. This programming is done directly or through an agreement with various entities of the Vila.
4. Santa Maria del Mar
Santa Maria de Palamós, also known as Santa Maria del Mar, is a Roman Catholic church located in Palamós. It is the main parish church of the town and is considered the oldest building in the town. It belongs to the Bishopric of Girona and is a figure included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
5. Fishing museum
Opened in 2002, the Fishing Museum is dedicated to fishing knowledge and dissemination, and Costa Brava's maritime heritage. Located in the Palamós fishing port in an old warehouse called "Tinglado", the permanent exhibition explains the history, current affairs and sustainable fishing in Costa Brava's future.
6. Poblat ibèric de Castell
Castell de la Fosca or Punta del Castell is an ancient Iberian settlement or oppidum sited on a rocky promontory at the north end of the beach called Platja de Castell, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) ENE of Palamós, on the Costa Brava.
