The Basilica of Santa Maria de Mataró is a church in Mataró (Maresme). It was built from 1675 onwards, with references to the existence of earlier temples dating back to 1008. It is a Cultural Asset of National Interest. Before the current temple there was a Romanesque church and even before that a temple of Roman origin.
2. Sala Cabanyes
The Sala Cabanyes is the theatre of the Catholic Centre, located on Carrer de la Riera in Mataró. Every year Els Pastorets de Mataró are performed. It is named after the architect Emili Cabanyes i Rabassa (1850-1917), former president and promoter of the Catholic Centre.
3. Laia l'Arquera
Laia the Archer is a large monumental sculpture designed by Josep Maria Rovira i Brull that is located in the Porta Laietana in Mataró. Due to its location at the entrance to Mataró, it is considered one of the contemporary icons of the city. The sculpture was inaugurated on November 1, 1998 in front of 8,000 people and cost 35 million pesetas.

The hermitage of Sant Martí de Mata is located to the NE of the municipality of Mataró, in the neighbourhood of Mata, almost bordering the municipality of Llavaneres, on the southern slope of the Serralada Litoral.

Santa Anna de Mataró is a church in the municipality of Mataró (Maresme) included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. The church of Santa Anna was part of an old school demolished in recent times, belonging to the congregation of the Pious Schools.
