The castle of Dénia overlooks the sea from a hill in the middle of the city. On its slopes is the old town and further down, the port. It was built by the Arabs on previous buildings. It has been municipal property since 1952. It has been rehabilitated; It is currently open to visitors and has established itself as the most popular monument and one of the symbols of the city.
