Show sight on map

Pico de Santa Ana II is located in the Central Massif of the Picos de Europa or Urrieles massif, on the divide between Asturias and Cantabria. It is one of the two peaks that, separated by the pass of Santa Ana, constitute the Picos de Santa Ana. The other is the Pico de Santa Ana I, which reaches 2601 m a.s.l. The first known ascent was made by Paul Labrouche on July 29, 1892 according to the chronicles, although the author recognizes the ascent to the Pico de Santa Ana, he does not differentiate whether it is summit I (Western) or II (Eastern). The fact of assigning this ascent to Santa Ana II is probably due to the greater difficulty of climbing Santa Ana I, although it is entirely possible for the level of the authors.
