1. Triglav

Triglav, with an elevation of 2,863.65 metres (9,395.2 ft), is the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak of the Julian Alps. The mountain is the pre-eminent symbol of the Slovene nation, appearing on the coat of arms and flag of Slovenia. It is the centrepiece of Triglav National Park, Slovenia's only national park. Triglav was also the highest peak in Yugoslavia before Slovenia's independence in 1991.

2. Kanjavec

Kanjavec is a 2,569-metre (8,428 ft) mountain in the center of Triglav National Park. It lies between the Dolič Pass at 2,164 m, the Hribarice Pass at 2,306 m and the Prehodavci Pass at 2071 m. Kanjavec is also a popular ski touring destination. From the summit, there is a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It is relatively easy to ascend, with a few exposed areas.

3. Mišelj vrh

Mišelj vrh

Mišelj vrh is a mountain in the heart of the Triglav National Park. It rises quite high above the Welsh and Mišelj valleys. It is connected by the western ridge to the Michal End. The only easier access to it leads from Planina Pod Mišelj over the southern slope to the ridge west of the peak and along the ridge to the very top.

4. Bogatin

Bogatin, also known as Mali Bogatin, is a mountain peak with an altitude of 1977 m above sea level in the Julian Alps in Slovenia. It is the first peak of the Spodnje Bohinjske mountain ridge. It is located west of Lake Bohinjsko on the Komna plateau.

5. Velika Tičarica

Tičarica is a mountain above the valley of the Triglav Lakes. Its highest peak, Velika Tičarica, is 2091 m above sea level, Mala Tičarica, located south of it. The peaks are part of the mountain range, which also consists of Velika and Mala Zelnarica and Kopica, and runs in the north-south direction, from Hribarice to the Black Lake.

6. Jezerski Stog

Jezerski Stog

Jezerski Stog is a 2,040 m high mountain in the eastern part of the Julian Alps. It is located within the Triglav National Park. The bushy peak, together with the ridge that begins on the Krstenica Mountain, with which it is connected via the still forested 1,879 m high Krstenica Stog, and continues across the Jezersko Pass to Prevalski Stog and Škednjovec, represents a natural border that separates the southern-lying Fužine Mountains from the central Triglav Mountains.

7. Vrh Hribaric

The top of Hribaric is a 2388 m high mountain in the central Julian Alps. It is located within the Triglav National Park in the middle of a distinctly karst world. Its northern walling, together with the walling of the Mišelj end, is surrounded by the Mišelj Valley. To the west, the ridge slopes towards the plateau of Hribarica, from where the easiest access to the very top is via an unmarked path. The southern and eastern slopes descend into the Valley behind Debeli vrh.

8. Šmarjetna glava

Šmarjetna glava is a 2,358-meter-high mountain in the Julian Alps. It is located in the immediate vicinity of Triglav, within the Triglav National Park. Several important mountain trails run around its foot: from Velo polje to Dolič, from Dolić to Planika and from Dolić to Triglav. The path to the main peak runs from the Dolič saddle over the southern slope and the saddle west of the peak, a very demanding trail, partially marked with mules, part of the Bohinj Mountain Trail (1h). Its side southern and western peaks are more easily accessible from the path.
