3. Kostol sv. Barbory

The Church of St. The Church of St. Barbara, also known as the Franciscan Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Žilina. At present, together with the adjacent monastery building, it is owned by the Order of Friars Minor Franciscans, but it is administered by the Convent of St. Martin de Porres in Žilina of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). In terms of architecture, it is one of the important Baroque buildings in Žilina. Together with the adjacent building of the convent, it was entered on November 5, 1963 under the numbers 1394/1 and 1394/2 in the central list of monuments.

4. Katedrála Najsvätejšej Trojice

5. Kozol

13. Rosenfeldov palác

Rosenfeld Palace is a building in Žilina at 28 Hurbanova Street. It was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1907 according to the Žilina architect Mikuláš Rauter. 17. Žilinský hrad

Žilina or Žilina Castle is a defunct castle in Žilina, the remains of which were found only in 2008. The first preserved written mention of the castle is from 1318, when the castle was owned by Matúš Čák Trenčiansky. However, the castle can also be older. The last time the castle was mentioned in writing was in 1457, it ceased to exist in the 15th century. Historian Richard Marsina claims that the then owners of Žilina, the Detrik family, began to build Žilina Castle after 1270, for fortification and protection from attacks. However, the history of the castle is not unambiguous and there are many hypotheses about its history and significance.

22. Steny, severný vrchol

Steny is a two-peaked mountain in Mala Fatra in Slovakia. It is actually a relatively long section of the main ridge of the Kriváň part of the mountain range between the peaks of Hromová (1636 m) and Poludňový grúň (1460 m). It is separated from Hromový by a shallow saddle behind Hromový, to Poludňový grúň the ridge descends without a noticeable saddle. The western slopes falling steeply into the upper part of the Vratna Valley are protected within the Chleb National Nature Reserve. The eastern slopes fall into the upper part of the Šutovská valley. The lower northern peak (1535 m), located about 0.5 km south of Poludňový grúň, is separated from its southern counterpart by a relatively distinctive Sedlo v Stenách (1480 m). The higher southern peak (1572 m) lies about 300 m northwest of Hromové, from which it is separated by the already mentioned Sedlo za Hromové. From the south-eastern hill-side there is a short descending fork leading into the Šutovská valley ending with the peak of Úplaz (1450 m). On the eastern slope there are Moses springs, the water of which flows down to the Šutovský waterfall.

23. Havran

Havran is a mountain in the outskirts of Lúčanská Malá Fatra with an altitude of 636 meters. It is a limestone peak located above Strečno above the left bank of the Váh River in the Žilina district in the Žilina Region in Slovakia. Havran is accessible on foot along the marked route from Strečno through the Na Baště viewpoint and the Špičák lookout tower. From Havran, a marked route leads to Sedlo pod Kojšovou, Kojšovský budzogáň and other places in Lúčanská Malá Fatra. Strečno Castle is located nearby on the opposite peak. The place offers views of the valley of the river Vah and the surrounding mountains.

33. Skalka

Skalka is a mountain in Mala Fatra in Slovakia. It is located in a ridge extending westwards from the top of Krížava (1457 m), from which it is separated by a shallow saddle. The fork is divided into two branches: the western branch, which continues over the peak of Mylný grúň (1008 m) to the peak of Žiar (1029 m), and the northwest, which continues to the top of Kobylie (1066 m), where it branches again to the western branch with the peaks of Kozol (1119 m) and Polomec (758 m) and the northwest branch with the peaks of Ostrá (942 m) and Čipčie (920 m). The northern slopes of the mountain fall into the Turská Valley, the western slopes into the Medzihorská Valley and the southern slopes into the Stránská Valley. The top parts are covered with mountain meadows and provide good views.

36. Castle Lietava

Lietava is located 10 km from the regional town of Žilina near the Onion Hill on the eastern edge of the Súľov Mountains. Cadastrally it lies on the border between the villages of Lietava and Lietavská Svinná, at an altitude of 635 m above sea level. With its degree of preservation, it is one of the largest and most beautiful preserved ruins not only in Slovakia, but also in Central Europe. The demise of the Gothic-Renaissance castle is dated to 1753 and the ruins were abandoned in the forest until 1999. At that time, the Association for the Rescue of Lietava Castle was established, which has been carrying out the rescue of buildings since 2003, in the form of sensitive stabilization, conservation and partial restoration. The castle is still a freely accessible ruin, except for the buildings that are currently being repaired. The current owner, the "Association for the Rescue of Lietava Castle", operates an exhibition in a part of the middle castle dedicated to the history, owners of the building, as well as archaeological finds.

37. Old Castle

The Old Castle is a ruin of a castle, rising east of Žilina, on the right bank of the Váh River at an altitude of 475 m above sea level. It is located near Strečno Castle, but on the opposite bank of the river above the Domašín meander. In 2017, it was listed among the National Cultural Monuments of the Slovak Republic.
