The Fortress of Arad is a fortification system built in the city of Arad, Romania, on the left bank of the Mureș River in the 18th century at the direct order of the Habsburg Empress Maria Theresa. The fortress today lies in the city's Subcetate neighbourhood, on the former military border between the Habsburg Empire and the Ottoman Empire. Over the course of its existence, it has been used as a military garrison and a military prison. Since 1999, it has been the headquarters of the Mixed Romanian-Hungarian Battalion.
2. Catedrala Nașterea Sfântului Ioan Botezătorul
The Birth of St. John the Baptist Cathedral is a monument of baroque architecture in Arad. The edifice was built between 1862-1865 under the direction of architect Anton Ziegler. The main financiers of the construction were the Mocioni family and the banker Gheorghe Sina from Vienna.

3. St. Anthony of Padova Church
The Roman-Catholic Church "Saint Anthony of Padua" is a place of worship in Arad. It was built between 1902-1904 by the Arad architect Milan Tabacovici. It was consecrated in 1911. The place of worship has elements representing classicist, baroque and Renaissance styles.
4. Teatrul Clasic Ioan Slavici
The "Ioan Slavici" Classic Theater is a building from the municipality of Arad. It was erected between 1872-1874 in neoclassical style. In the years 1958-1960 important modernization works take place during which the current facade of the theater is carried out.

The 'Holy Trinity' Orthodox Cathedral is a Romanian Orthodox cathedral in Arad, in the Crișana region of western Romania. It is the main cathedral of the episcopal see of Arad, currently headed by Timotei, Archbishop of Arad.

The Neumann Palace is an eclectic building located in Arad. It is a historical monument. It was built in 1891–1892 by the wealthy family of Neumann. It was the biggest building in the city for a long period.
