1. Convento de Nossa Senhora do Desterro

The Convent of Our Lady of Desterro is a former Convent of the Friars of the Third Regular Order of San Francisco, located in the municipality of Monchique, in the Faro district, Portugal. It was founded in 1631, and features a Manueline style architecture. The building was severely damaged by the 1755 earthquake and was later rebuilt. He was later expropriated and divided into several installments, having been some time later abandoned, reaching an advanced state of ruin. The convent complex also included a monumental magnolia, which was classified in 1947, but eventually died in 2016.

Alferce Castle, officially designated as the Cerro of Alferce Castle Archaeological Site, and also known as Pedra Branca Castle, is a monument located in the parish of Alferce, part of the municipality of Monchique, in the Algarve region of Portugal. It corresponds to an ancient fortified village of the Bronze Age, which was then transformed into a fortress during Muslim rule. The castle was classified as a place of public interest in 2013.
