The Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum is an art museum in Amarante, Portugal. The museum brings together the collection of artists and writers born in Amarante, among them Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, António Carneiro, Acácio Lino, Teixeira de Pascoaes and Agustina Bessa Luís. It was founded in 1947 as the Municipal Library-Museum of Amarante. In the 1980s, it was installed in the Convent of São Gonçalo, with an adaptation project by the architect Alcino Soutinho. The museum and the Chamber award the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Prize every two years.
